Lonely!!! November 24th, 2009
Everyone’s experienced this sometime or another. It’s almost impossible for a person to have never come across loneliness. You’re bound to be alone sometime in your life, even if you are extremely popular, there has to be at least one second in your life where you are lonely.
Now the concept of being lonely, and feeling lonely are two completely different things. One can be in a room full of people, conversing with them, and at the same time feel lonely, isolated and apart from everyone else. One can be sitting all alone in their room, yet they are entranced by a great new paperback that was published. I, however, are neither of those cases. I am alone, and also feel it.
I shake a lot of hands but I don’t got a lot of friends.
I don’t really have that many friends, and of the little friends that I have, in their eyes, I am nowhere near being a close friend. There is always a closer friend, or a closer group of friend before me. There’s always that one person that’s closer to them than me, that they’d hang out with. Sometimes I don’t mind, but the thing is, I’m around the concept of loneliness almost 24/7.
Either way, I lose. I’m not great with groups, let alone people. I’m picky with friends, and I hate fakes. I hate people who do something, just because everyone else is doing it. I hate people who are oblivious to the world around them. In a way, I might be isolating myself.
I’ve read books that say that the person who thinks the majority of the population (or at least the people around him) are less intelligent, he, by definition, has some sort of mental disorder. I would definitely not like to be that guy.
I want someone that I could run with in the morning. I want someone to talk to about movies that I’ve watched. I want someone to talk to about the music that I listen to. I want someone to talk to about tech stuff. I want someone to talk to about advice that I need. I want someone to talk to when I need someone to talk to. I want someone to talk to when I’m sad. I want someone to talk to when I’m really happy. I just want someone to be there for me….
