Familiarity breeds contempt!!!
Familiarity breeds contempt.
I’m stuck in a rut… A lot has happened over past few days and maybe thats why I can’t agree more!
I came across this post which made me think…
…You fly a kite while holding to a knife. The knife is poised at the string with promises to make the cut. But you don’t. Instead you scrape against the string, sending uncomfortable reverberations, disallowing the kite to soar with the winds that gently caress the tassels…
We tend to take for granted the best things in life… Isn’t it ironic that we treat the people closest to us worst? We hold our horses when we’re upset with people who are not close to us, we behave. But if we’re upset in front of our family members, we tend to lash out easier!
Hmm…OK..there’s a scenario worse than this. That’s when the other person thinks he/she is close enough to treat you that way! And you can’t tell them, “Hey…don’t act as if you’re that close to me. You’re not!” This statement is too hurting! Just can’t say that.. Maybe it was something that you’ve done that made them feel they are that “special” to you.
One must never forget this idiom… and also remember that…
You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good bye.– Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
one after another good words !
